Scholarship for International Students

a. Merit-based Scholarship for International Students

The merit-based Scholarship for international students is automatically granted without a separate application and is reflected on invoice. Scholarship for each next semester is based on the previous semester GPA.

Merit-based Scholarship Policy for International Students (ECIS)

#1: Students must be enrolled in the previous semester.
#2: Minimum of 15-credit load of courses (excluding Winter/Summer semester) with no "F" in any courses.
#3: Not eligible if all the courses are of P/F type.
#4: GPA = 15-week. CGPA Cumulative GPA. Based on the higher of the two.
*All scholarships are tuition-based. There is no financial aid available for cost of living expenses like dormitory, meal plans, books, medical insurance, student activity fees, and other living expenses. These other costs are not covered by Admissions or Merit-based scholarships and these expenses are borne by applicants.

b. Work-Study Scholarship

A scholarship granted to students who have worked for a certain period in administrative departments or academic departments (majors).

Work Placement Departments (e.g., SGP, Dormitory Management, Visa Support Team, International Student Support Team, Global Center, International Administration Office, Korean Language Institute, Foreign Language Education Institute, Career Development Support Center, and each department). Scholarship payment guidelines apply equally to both Korean and international students.

c. External Scholarship

Departmental Recommendation Type: In instances where an external organization seeks a recommendation from the university for an individual, the department sends a letter of collaboration to facilitate the recommendation process.
Student Application Type: When an external organization requests individual student applications without specifying a limit on the recommended number, the information is posted on the Woosong University website notice board.
