Outbound Programs

Woosong University continued excellence in education has lead us to develop university partnerships all over the world. Woosong students have the opportunity to study abroad under our student exchange and dual degree programs. Students must fulfil the criteria set by both Woosong and the host university in order to make their outbound experience as memorable and enjoyable as possible.

Meet Florensia

I want to experience living in another country, but doing an exchange program only felt not enough. When I saw this program that offers exchange and internship, especially at Disney, I knew I just had to go. As a Hospitality Management student at FSU, I took Managing Service Organizations, Applied Intercultural Communication, and Hospitality Management Internship, with fun classes involving guest lectures, skits, presentations, and field trips. What we learned in class was later implemented in my internship at Walt Disney World, where I also made new friends, experienced working in a busy environment, and enjoyed free park admissions. I got to experience living in the USA, university life on campus, and an internship at one of the biggest global companies—although the preparation was hard, the experience was truly worth it :).

Meet Sinae

While studying my major courses, I realized that strong language skills and a global mindset are essential for becoming a professional hotelier, which led me to join an exchange student program in Finland, known for its strong education system. I wanted to experience a different teaching style, interact with students from various countries, and gain practical experience by living abroad. During the program, I took courses in food and beverage practice and theory, sales and marketing, marketing psychology, and customer experience, with an eight-week course structure that made learning more focused and interactive. Living in Finland was comfortable, and studying in Europe allowed me to travel freely under the Schengen Agreement, with trips to Estonia and Lapland being especially memorable. Through this exchange, I gained confidence, improved my English skills, built meaningful international friendships, and experienced personal growth by stepping out of my comfort zone, making the studyabroad experience truly worthwhile!

Meet Soyeong

I participated in this program to experience Canada’s educational environment, improve my English skills, and develop a global perspective. Additionally, I wanted to experience Canada’s education system and culture directly while broadening my studies in my major, Global Business. From an academic perspective, I gained new insights unique to Canada, and I was fortunate to befriend someone who had successfully graduated and started their own business. Talking with them gave me a firsthand understanding of business operations, as well as the mindset and values required to start and run a company. This experience allowed me to deeply reflect on my career path in business.

Taiwan offers a captivating mix of vibrant street life, rich culture, and stunning natural landscapes. The diverse and satisfying cuisine especially beef noodle soup, oyster omelette, braised pork rice is a must try! During my exchange at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, I took various cooking classes and a basic chinese class. Also, I really like sports and NKUHT provides very complete sports facilities and I really enjoyed my time there. I met wonderful people along the way, my friends and my teachers were amazing. It was an unforgettable experience! I recommend all students to consider an exchange program!

Meet May

My main reason for studying abroad was to learn things that I could apply in real life, and have a different learning environment. Specifically, to be in an active classroom where I could collaborate with others and discuss freely in class. I also wanted to gain new experiences and have the opportunity to travel while studying. I gained a lot of connections with students, teachers and guest speakers. The learning environment is really different, so I believe it helped me grow as a person. Usually, I would be afraid to speak up about my opinions or even present in front of class, but I had to do these things on a daily basis at Institut Lyfe, so I think I have gained more confidence.
