In the Global Interdisciplinary Studies Program, we aspire to educate our students to become globalized citizens for the 4th industrial revolution. The program focuses on encouraging cross-cultural understanding, social justice, and environmental responsibility/sustainability. Our students learn from and interact with prestigious internationally trained professors and have access to skilled, supportive administrators within a cost-effective education process.

As part of this 2+2 program, students in GIS study an interdisciplinary curriculum in preparation for transfer to a partner university. After just two semesters, students can transfer to various departments here at Woosong University, or students can complete the full program (4 semesters) and transfer to one of our 20+ partners worldwide.

We place our students at the center of the learning experience. GIS’s flipped learning model emphasizes personalized learning and active student engagement. Students have autonomy in choosing their learning paths, setting goals, and engaging in collaborative projects. Our courses involve hands-on activities, real-world applications, and opportunities for students to make connections between theory and practice. This approach enhances retention, critical thinking, and the development of practical skills.
