Global Buddy Odyssey Program to Shilla Culture

On Saturday, September 27th, 2025, Woosong University successfully held the Global Buddy Odyssey Program to Shilla Culture, a one-day cultural excursion to the historic city of Gyeongju. Organized by the Woosong Retention Team, the event brought together both Korean and international students to explore Korea’s rich Shilla heritage through fun, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
The day began early at 7:30 AM, as four buses departed from campus filled with excitement and anticipation. Students visited several famous landmarks of Gyeongju, including ancient temples, royal tombs, and cultural parks that reflect the legacy of the Shilla Dynasty. The trip aimed to strengthen the bond between Korean and international students while offering a hands-on learning experience about Korea’s cultural roots.
Throughout the day, students captured memorable moments and shared their experiences on social media. To encourage creativity and engagement, the Retention Team organized two contests: ‘Best Photo Competition’ and ‘Best Social Media Post’. Many students participated enthusiastically, sharing snapshots of friendship, laughter, and discovery. Attractive prizes were awarded to the winners, adding an extra layer of excitement to the journey.
The trip concluded in the evening with a cheerful atmosphere and renewed friendships. Students returned to campus feeling refreshed and inspired after a day filled with cultural immersion and teamwork.
