The Woosong University Student council is a university-level organization that serves as representatives for all students at Woosong University. The council is run by and for students with representation from each university department at Woosong. This year, the 29th Woosong Student Council will go by the name 해일 or Haeil (translated as a tsunami or big wave).
As the chosen leaders, the Haeil Student Council works with university management to create various student events throughout the year. All students can participate in any event as long as they have paid the $28 (28,000 Korean won) student council fee. The student council works to enhance student life, build school spirit and pride, and strengthen the overall school.
The student council is in charge of planning and organizing events like the Freshman Contest, Woosong Fall Festival, and other educational and recreational events. Students can contact the Haeil student council through department representatives or social media accounts.
“We do not want to settle for the meetings your expectations, but rather aim to bring greater satisfaction” – 29th Woosong University Student Council.
Each department at Woosong also has a Student Council. This student council is the department-level student representative body that links the Student Union and students and is the first place to go for information about Student Union events. They also run departmental events for students, such as learning concerts, meals, and parties, and order department jackets.
