Woosong University continued excellence in education has lead us to develop university partnerships all over the world. Woosong students have the opportunity to study abroad under our student exchange and dual degree programs. Students must fulfil the criteria set by both Woosong and the host university in order to make their outbound experience as memorable and enjoyable as possible.
Being able to study in Europe has been a life long dream of mine and it is now an experience I will be forever grateful for. To explore new places, meet all the different people and learn about their cultures was enriching and I feel incredibly lucky. As someone who has been living in Asia my entire life, it does come with a challenge to go outside of my comfort zone and expand my horizon. To be able to do so was fulfilling and I discovered not only the world but also about myself! I had an unforgettable time during my exchange study here in Belgium – creating memories with my newfound friends for life. If you have the opportunity to do so too: be open to new adventures! Je kunt nooit een oceaan oversteken, als je niet het lef hebt om de kust uit het zicht te verliezen!

During my experience in UIW, I have been able to encounter many different cultures and learn about them as well as make friends with interesting cultures. I have made close and special relationships with them and created fun and great memories that I will remember for a very long time. We have gone to many different cities in Texas and gone to various festivals and historical areas to learn more about the history and culture of Texas. We have also studied and talked together during our studies and when exam week was coming. Overall, this exchange program has changed my perspective in life and helped create meaningful experiences that will help me in my future. If there are any other students who have interest in participating in an exchange program, it can be intimidating and daunting at first but it will provide important lessons and perspectives that can help you in building your career or developing yourself

I participated in this program to experience Canada’s educational environment, improve my English skills, and develop a global perspective. Additionally, I wanted to experience Canada’s education system and culture directly while broadening my studies in my major, Global Business. From an academic perspective, I gained new insights unique to Canada, and I was fortunate to befriend someone who had successfully graduated and started their own business. Talking with them gave me a firsthand understanding of business operations, as well as the mindset and values required to start and run a company. This experience allowed me to deeply reflect on my career path in business.

Taiwan offers a captivating mix of vibrant street life, rich culture, and stunning natural landscapes. The diverse and satisfying cuisine especially beef noodle soup, oyster omelette, braised pork rice is a must try! During my exchange at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, I took various cooking classes and a basic chinese class. Also, I really like sports and NKUHT provides very complete sports facilities and I really enjoyed my time there. I met wonderful people along the way, my friends and my teachers were amazing. It was an unforgettable experience! I recommend all students to consider an exchange program!

My main reason for studying abroad was to learn things that I could apply in real life, and have a different learning environment. Specifically, to be in an active classroom where I could collaborate with others and discuss freely in class. I also wanted to gain new experiences and have the opportunity to travel while studying. I gained a lot of connections with students, teachers and guest speakers. The learning environment is really different, so I believe it helped me grow as a person. Usually, I would be afraid to speak up about my opinions or even present in front of class, but I had to do these things on a daily basis at Institut Lyfe, so I think I have gained more confidence.
