On 22 October 2026, Woosong University was honored to welcome H.E. Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea, together with the Education and Student Affairs Counsellors from the Malaysian Embassy. The visit brought together university leadership and distinguished guests for a meaningful dialogue on strengthening educational cooperation and expanding opportunities for Malaysian students in Korea.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to Woosong University’s international learning environment, its global academic programs, and the support systems available to students from around the world. Both sides shared perspectives on how higher education can respond to rapidly changing demands in the global economy, and how institutions in both countries can work more closely to prepare students for what lies ahead.
The discussions explored avenues for future collaboration, including academic exchange, joint programs, and enhanced student support services. Participants reaffirmed a shared commitment to nurturing future-ready talent through international education, industry-relevant learning, and career-focused opportunities. Particular attention was given to ensuring that Malaysian students at Woosong not only receive a high-quality education, but also gain the practical skills, global networks, and professional experience needed to thrive after graduation.

Beyond institutional partnerships, the visit also celebrated the growing Malaysian community at Woosong University, which includes both students and professors. Their presence enriches campus life, contributes to a vibrant multicultural atmosphere, and demonstrates the power of education to bridge nations, foster cross-cultural understanding, and empower the next generation of global leaders. The delegation took the opportunity to recognize the contributions of Malaysian members of the university community and to encourage them to continue serving as ambassadors of their country’s culture and values.

Woosong University extends its sincere gratitude to Ambassador Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid and the Embassy counsellors for their time, insights, and continued support of Malaysian students in Korea. The university looks forward to building on this productive exchange and to working together on initiatives that benefit students, faculty, and both communities.

Together, we are building stronger educational ties between Malaysia and Korea, creating opportunities that transcend borders and shaping a more connected future.
