On December 12, 2025, Woosong University hosted its first Babson Global Student Challenge 2025–2026 (Woosong University Local Round), bringing together undergraduate and graduate students to develop and assess business ideas aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through concepts ranging from Smart Study Café to financial literacy for children, students presented practical approaches to real-world challenges.

Professor Hayder Albayati, Ph.D. Assistant Professor at Endicott College highlighted the value of the competition, stating: “This competition provided students with an excellent opportunity to apply innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills in a real-world context.”

The competition attracted 15 teams comprising 73 students. Two teams received the Grand Prize. Team Smart DineIN presented a digital menu system designed to improve access to allergy information, and Team KidVest focused on introducing financial literacy to children at an early age.

In addition to the Grand Prize winners, four teams received Excellence Awards, and four teams were recognized with Participation Awards, acknowledging the strong overall quality of ideas and presentations.

Reflecting on the experience, Tariq Anas, a member of Team KidVest, shared:
“The competition challenged us to think creatively and practically while working as a team and the preparation process helped us improve our research, teamwork, and presentation skills. Overall, the competition was a valuable and inspiring learning experience.”

The winning teams will go on to represent Woosong University in the global phase of the Babson Global Student Challenge, continuing to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas and skills on an international stage.

Congratulations to all participating teams for their hard work and creativity!
