Internships

Real world, hands-on experience is the key to success and that’s why the Culinary Arts program gives you opportunities to work in a kitchen, serve guests, and even design and run a restaurant with our multiple on campus restaurants.

Staricco

Staricco is a cafe and casual dining restaurant. Students gain practical experience working in real world conditions with local customers.

Each Fall semester Staricco transforms into a student created restaurant. Interested student form a group and submit a proposal for the concept, menu, and costs to show how their restaurant would work. The selected proposal gets to run Staricco as if it were their own restaurant.

SolPine

SolPine is Woosong’s fine dining establishment. Located on the 13th floor of Woosong Tower (W13) it provides great view of Daejeon and gives…

gives students an opportunity to work in a fine dining atmosphere. The quality standards are high as well as the service expectations

Sol-Too

Sol-Too is a fully student-run restaurant, where the concept and name changes each year. Students create a proposal with an entire restaurant concept; including theme, menu items, and costs.

Each proposal is evaluated by the school and one is chosen to create and run their restaurant for a full year. The selected proposal gets to run Staricco as if it were their own restaurant.

3rd Floor Culinary Arts Building

Located in the Culinary building, this floor is reserved for pop-up restaurants where students create the restaurant concept, menu, and…

spend two weeks running the kitchen and serving.
Utilized for students in the sophomore year and in groups of 8~10 students.

At Woosong University, we understand how getting real-world experience is vital to culinary education.

In the Culinary industry, participating in internships and on-site training is essential. Our Culinary Arts program has developed industry partnerships at companies like Black Sheep (HongKong), Pierre Sang (France), and Hyatt (USA).
