From February 23 to 27, Woosong University welcomed a new cohort of students for Spring 2026 Orientation Week, including freshmen, graduate, and exchange students, marking the start of an exciting academic journey for a total of 2,548 students joining our community.

Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of activities designed to help them settle into university life and become familiar with their new surroundings in Daejeon. Orientation began with information sessions from departments, as well as interactive icebreakers with student clubs that gave newcomers the opportunity to connect with one another and start building friendships.

One of the highlights of the week was a cultural excursion to Jeonju Hanok Village, where students explored one of Korea’s most iconic traditional villages, in magical spring snow. Surrounded by historic architecture and scenic snowy landscapes, students also visited the National Jeonju Museum (국립전주박물관), the hanok village, Jeonju Digital Space, experiencing both traditional and modern aspects of the city. 

Later in the week, students attended information sessions covering practical aspects of living and studying in Korea, including information on banking, immigration procedures, exchange opportunities, and campus support services such as counseling. These sessions were designed to help students feel confident and prepared as they begin their studies at Woosong.

Orientation Week concluded with the Welcoming Ceremony at Woosong Art Hall, where new students took the Student Oath. The ceremony featured welcoming remarks from university leadership, including the President and Chairman, as well as special performances by Professors and senior students to celebrate the arrival of the new cohort.

Woosong University warmly welcomes all new students and looks forward to supporting them throughout their academic journey.
