The Woosong University campus came alive with energy and excitement as students gathered for the annual Sports Day on September 30 and October 1. Students from every department competed, cheered, and celebrated, turning the two-day event into a vibrant showcase of talent, teamwork, and school spirit.
The day began with department parades highlighting Woosong’s diversity, followed by inspiring speeches from Honorable Chairman of the Woosong Foundation Sung Kyung Kim and President Go Whan Jin, who encouraged students to embrace collaboration, leadership, and pride in their university. This year also featured the first-ever lighting of the Woosong Olympic flame, marking the official start of the festivities, accompanied by a colorful parade celebrating Woosong’s diverse international community. Students further energized the crowd with dynamic dance performances throughout the day.

Students brought energy, determination, and teamwork to every game, competing in basketball, foot volleyball, dodgeball, kickball, jump rope, relay races, tug-of-war and many more. Each game sparked friendly rivalries and enthusiastic cheers from classmates and faculty, while interactive challenges kept everyone involved and laughing. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement, camaraderie, and school spirit throughout the day.
The two-day celebration reached its climax with an awards ceremony honoring the top-performing teams, followed by a joyful water fight that left students laughing, refreshed, and energized.
The combination of spirited competition, teamwork, and fun made Sports Day 2025 a truly unforgettable experience for the entire campus.
A special congratulations goes to the Department of Physical Therapy for their well-deserved victory, and to all students who made the event so memorable.
Thank you to the Student Council and everyone involved for making Sports Day 2025 a tremendous success!
