The last week of August marked an exciting beginning at Woosong University, filled with new faces, new friendships, and a new batch of students from more than 25 countries.
The first three days of Orientation Week were packed with meaningful experiences, from exploring the campus and attending sessions hosted by the Academic Affairs, Study Abroad, Retention, and Student Counseling teams to meeting department chairs, completing paperwork, and registering for courses. These activities were designed to help students feel prepared and confident as they begin their journey in Daejeon.
On the third day, our freshmen set out on a memorable trip to Jeonju Hanok Village. The day was full of exploration and culture, as students visited the historic Gyeonggijeon Shrine, the beautiful Jeondong Cathedral, and enjoyed Jeonju’s famous Bibimbap.
Orientation Week concluded with a special Welcoming Ceremony at the Woosong Art Hall. The ceremony included the Student Oath, welcoming messages from the President of Woosong University as well as the Deans of SolBridge and Endicott, and an introduction to the Woosong Educational Foundation. The event also featured an award ceremony recognizing freshmen who participated in creating a video project during Orientation Week.
We warmly welcome all the new students to Woosong University. We hope this chapter will be filled with valuable learning, meaningful connections and friendships, and exciting opportunities to explore Korea and its culture.
Here’s to new beginnings!
