We are thrilled to announce that Woosong University recently hosted the 30th Network of Business Schools (NIBS) Conference from May 10-12, 2023. The NIBS is a global association of business schools that aims to incorporate cultural insights, international experience, and global business perspectives into management education. The association is committed to furthering education by bringing together business schools worldwide to promote cooperation among educational institutions in different countries and contribute to a better understanding between nations by increasing awareness and knowledge of other cultures and social practices. The association currently has more than 70 member institutions in over 30 countries.

This year's conference, organized under the theme "Leadership in an era of digital transformation," attracted over 60 international and 40 local delegates. The event brought together current members, potential new members in Asia, local leaders, and industry professionals to share their insights and ideas. Woosong University Executive Dean Yoo-Taek Lee emphasized the importance of international collaboration in bridging the gap between digitized and less-digitized economies in his conference opening welcome remarks.

The conference welcomed distinguished guest speakers from the business world to share their experiences and wisdom on leadership in the digital transformation era. During the conference, Chairman Moon Kook Hyun, Former Member of the National Assembly of South Korea in 2008 – 2009, Mr. Steve Park, Senior Director and Head of Public Policy, Roblox APAC, and Mr. Bradley Byoungyong Moon, Head of Training & Certification, Amazon Web Services Korea delivered keynote addresses.

Attendees also took part in an industry tour of South Korea's top elevator company Hyundai Elevators. This was the first time the NIBS gathering was hosted in Korea. We hope the conference fostered collaboration among participants and allowed visitors to experience Daejeon and Korean culture.
