We would like to inform you of the upcoming application period for changing your major.

1. Application Period: July 7, 2025 (Monday) – July 11, 2025 (Friday)

2. Eligibility for Application: All

3. Application Method:

Student Application (Online via wsinfo.wsu.ac.kr):

• Apply online during the application period

• Clearly state your reason for the major change

• Download, print, and fill out the attached application form

Consultation with Department Chairs:

• Meet both your current and intended department chairs for consultation

• Bring your academic transcript for credit review (you may need an extra semester)

• You can print your transcript using the white printing machines located at W1 or W7

• If you are outside of Korea, this consultation meeting can be arranged online by emailing your department chair. 

Approval by Department Chairs:

• Obtain signatures from both the current and receiving department chairs

Submission to IAC Office (W19, Room 218):

• Submit the signed application form to the IAC office during the application period

4. Number of Major Changes Allowed:
Only once during your enrollment at the university.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Credits you’ve already earned will be reviewed by the receiving department and may be partially recognized.

• Students must fulfill the graduation credit requirements of the new department based on its curriculum (some previously earned credits may not be counted).

• Students who have changed their major are not allowed to switch back to their original major or take it as a minor or double major.

• An extra semester may be required depending on your credit transfer status—please confirm during your consultations.
