3. Graduation Requirements

Here are the general Graduation Requirements for Woosong University. It is advised that students meet with their academic advisor or department chair to discuss the specific requirements for their department.

- Credit and Semester Requirement: The first thing to consider is credit requirements and semesters. In order to graduate you must ensure you have the correct number of credits in each category and have been at Woosong for the minimum number of semesters (this is normally eight main semesters).

World Student (WS) Language Certification Requirement: Upload your WS Language Certification, which can be TOEIC (550 at least), IBT (63 at least), IELTS (5.5 at least), Duolingo English Test (80 at least), TOPIK (4 at least), satisfactory completion of special courses at the Woosong Korean Language Institute (more details will be sent later), or other accepted certifications (see attachment below). Please note this must be a valid certification (i.e., not expired) and cannot be for your native language. If you have taken the Mock TOEIC Test offered by Woosong University, log in to the test clinic and upload your test score (see below if you wish to register for this). In the case of WS Language Certification document upload, files such as preview and screen capture cannot be authenticated (a scanned PDF version must be uploaded). If you haven’t done a test yet, you can submit these tests at a later time by the latest 2024.06.14 (Fri) 16:00 KST.

- Departmental Graduation Requirement: Check with your department chair and academic advisor for specific test dates and requirements for graduation (some departments require a final exam, some require a final report, others require a final project, etc.). Make sure you’re on track to complete all requirements during the required period. Even if your major doesn't require any major project you still have to register for graduation officially in the infosystem. The Graduation Thesis/Capstone Project submission period is to be decided soon.  When you have done this, please check with your TA to ensure your application and upload were successful.

Note:  All applicants intending to graduate in August 2024 must apply for Graduation in the infosystem.

Note: You must register for graduation even if you have not submitted the graduation requirements yet.

Note: Application and document submission must be within the stated periods, application cannot be accepted after.

Note: For email document submission, ensure you receive a reply. Otherwise, you may have submitted to the wrong email account, etc.

Note: If your department requires a Capstone Project or Internship Report, submit it only after it is graded by the professor.
