WKLI Korean Speaking Contest for International Students

The Woosong University Korean Language Institute is organizing a Korean speaking contest to enhance the conversational skills of foreigners, preparing them for future TOPIK speaking tests and facilitating their study abroad experience in Korea. We strongly encourage students to participate in this.
❂ Date and Venue
1. Date:
- 1st Preliminary Round: May 17, 2024 (Fri) 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Final Round: May 23, 2024 (Thu) 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
2. Venue: W1 Auditorium
❂ Participation Method and Themes
1. Format: Individual or Group Role Play (2 persons)
2. Themes: 1. Gratitude, 2. Comedy, 3. Free choice
3. Notes: Speaking time should be within 3-5 minutes (1 person) , 5-8 minutes (2 persons) (strictly adhere to the time limit)

❂ Eligibility
1. Eligible Participants: Foreign students currently enrolled at Woosong University (including exchange students)
2. Exclusions:
∙ Individuals who are Korean nationals or have been in an international marriage for over 5 years
∙ Ethnic Koreans fluent in Korean language
❂ Application and Coaching Approach
1. Application Period: April 29, 2024 (Mon) - May 7, 2024 (Tue)
2. Submission Documents: Application form (Attached in the email)
3. Coaching Approach: Participants will receive direct coaching from invited professors
4. Submission: Woosong Korean Language Education Center ekthsl0531@wsu.ac.kr
❂ Awards
1. 1st Place - 1 person (certificate, prize)
2. 2nd Place - 2 persons (certificate, prize)
3. 3rd Place - 3 persons (certificate, prize)
4. Participation Prize - 5 persons (certificate, prize)
※ The length of stay in Korea and proficiency level will be taken into account in the evaluation.
※ The 1st place and 2nd place will be determined in the final round.
