We are excited to announce the upcoming Sports Competition and Talent Show for international students in Daejeon.

 This event is organized for exclusively international students, where students from the 10 biggest universities from all over Daejeon will compete against each other in various (sports) categories including but not limited to tug-of-war, group jump rope, centipede relay, etc.

 In addition, there will also be a talent show competition, where you will have a chance to display your talents (in your chosen field) on a big stage and even win a prize.

 Date: 2023.11.04(Sat) from 9:30 ~ 17:00

 Venue: Daejeon KT Training Center (Outdoor Field)

 Invited: All international students

Here is a brief explanation about the sports and games that will be held in the competition:

There are 7 categories for the athletic competition, where athletes have to compete.

Keep in mind that all of these activities are group activities rather than individual.

I will be providing the name for each category in Korean as well (just in case the translation does not make sense for you):

1) Tug-of-war (줄다리기) - Required number of participants per university: 40 (25-male; 15- females)

2) Group skipping - Jump Rope (단체 줄넘기)- Required number of participants per university: 22 (20+2) (no rules on gender ratio)

3) Centipede relay (지네발 릴레이) - Required number of participants per university: 30 (no rules on gender ratio)

 4) Relay (계주) - Required number of participants per university: 6 (3-males; 3- females)

 5) Basket toss (where you throw the balls into the basket) – No information on specific number of required participants per university

These following two are special event games

6) Tuho/Pitch-pot (투호) –traditional East Asian Game, where players throw arrows or sticks into large canisters from a set distance - Required number of participants per university – 3

 7) Hula hoop (훌라후프) - Required number of participants per university – 3
