Living in Korea Made Simple! (Spring 2023) 첨부파일

Are you a new international student at Woosong University? The International Administrative Center is running a series of special sessions just for you, called "Living in Korea Made Simple!"

Each bitesize session will last for 45 minutes, so come along during your lunchbreak to learn more about life at Woosong and in Korea.

The sessions are open to all students, so even if you are not a freshman come along and learn more from our experienced international professors! See below for more information, including an overview of each session.



Session 1 (Basic Computer Skills) - Students will learn some of the basic apps you need to use in Korea - including the Woosong LMS, the Smart Campus app, KakaoTalk, KorailTalk, Hana banking, Gmarket, etc. We will also take questions related to your specific computer-related problems or concerns.

Session 2 (Mental Health & Wellness) - This session will focus on mental health and wellness for all students and faculty. The workshop will provide information on stress management and self-care strategies and will get input from the attendees for improved mental health care services on campus. 

Session 3 (Graduating on Time) - This session will cover all of the questions students may have about what courses to register for and what other requirements are needed in order to graduate on time from Woosong University. It will cover content from the Orientation and there will be plenty of time for students to ask their questions. 

Session 4 (Korean Cuisine & Cooking) - Students will explore the topic ‘For the love of K-Food’. Students will learn about some of the most popular dishes in Korea and learn how to cook some of the presenters favourite dishes! There will be plenty of time for discussion and sharing student ideas too. 

Session 5 (Traveling in Korea) - Students will learn about different places around Korea to travel under various themes - history, ocean vs. mountain, etc. There will be plenty of time for discussion and sharing student ideas too. 

Session 6 (E-Commerce in Korea) - Students will discover how to register for the basic banking certificate available from Korean banks, which is required for all e-commerce transactions in Korea.
