Croatia and Korea, From Friendship to the Comprehensive Partnership

Croatian Ambassador to South Korea, H.E. Damir Kušen, visited Woosong on the 19th of October to give a special lecture on the theme of ‘Croatia and Korea, From Friendship to the Comprehensive Partnership’ to students in the Department of Global Hotel Management. The Ambassador’s speech covered the importance of tourism and how, if strategically leveraged, it can be used to boost a country’s tourism.
Additionally, we had the honor of hosting the Ambassador of the World Travel and Tourism Committee (WTTC), Do Young-sim, who gave a brief speech on the importance of education to Korea’s development and tourism. Dean Yoo-taek Lee of Endicott College, Professor MinJoo Leutwiler Lee, Chair of the Department of Hotel Management, and Professor Iva Bahunek warmly welcomed the Ambassadors to Woosong.
There were 150 professors and students attending from Endicott College. The visit also marked an exciting milestone for Woosong University, as we are celebrating a new cooperation agreement with Rijeka University, specifically with their Department of Tourism Management. The University of Rijeka is based in Croatia’s third-largest city, which has been around since the 17th century.
