In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Woosong Foundation, the school corporation of Woosong University, has announced plans to promote the export of AI and Big Data related education to Kazakhstan to cultivate IT specialists.

Following Woosong’s selection for the second consecutive year in the Ministry of Science and ICT's Software Centered University project, Woosong University has been operating an advanced SW technology and region-specific education system, accumulating advanced educational know-how. Recently, with the active support of the Kazakhstan government, Woosong embarked on promoting education exports.

Woosong University's IT education export this time has garnered significant attention, as President Tokayev of Kazakhstan expressed strong support for Woosong University's education export during his speech on cooperation between the two countries when President Yoon Suk-yeol visited Kazakhstan recently. The visit also included the establishment of a campus for advanced IT for Kazakh students.

Woosong University has agreed to collaborate with the government of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan to develop the region as a hub for AI and Big Data education and research in Central Asia. In particular, efforts will be made to secure talented individuals in the Central Asia region by providing them with opportunities to study directly in South Korea and to settle in the region.

Meanwhile, to create a successful education export model, Woosong University is refining and enhancing its accumulated IT education system, to suit the local education environment under the full support of the President. The university also plans to cultivate global talents who will be active on the world stage beyond Asia.
