Students may obtain two degrees upon graduation, one from Woosong University and one from one of our partner universities. Students complete two years (2+2) or three years(3+1) of study at WSU and the remaining years of study at another institution. Those who wish to pursue this line of study must follow a specific curriculum that matches the course and credit requirements of WSU and that of the partner institution.
Students who participate in our dual degree programs are not required to pay any fees to Woosong after they transfer to a partner university, and any scholarships held at Woosong prior to the transfer are void. In some instances, however, the agreement between Woosong and the host university may require students to continue paying tuition at WSU. Students are advised to consult with the Study Abroad Office about payment terms and scholarships before applying.
In order to apply for the outbound Dual Degree program, students must meet the following Woosong criteria:
Woosong Requirements | |
---|---|
2+2 dual degree | 70 credits in 4 semesters and a 1.8 CGPA (for WSU degree) |
3+1 dual degree | 105 credits in 6 semesters and a 1.8 CGPA (for WSU degree) |
Students should also ensure that they meet the host university’s admission requirements (please visit the host university website for details) and meet all the important deadlines set by the host university.
After transferring to a partner university, students in the dual degree program are required to send official copies of their transcripts to the Woosong Study Abroad Office each semester to maintain their academic status at Woosong University. Students must also keep the Study Abroad office informed of their registration status at the partner school.
Upon completion of the program, students are required to submit official copies of their final transcript and a copy of their diploma to the Woosong Study Abroad Office to obtain their degree from Woosong. Students are also required to apply for graduation and complete the graduation checklist to obtain their Woosong degree.
Below are the basic steps that students need to take to submit an application for exchange. Students should carefully review the steps in the application procedure to avoid any delays in processing of their application.
Please refer to the Dual Degree Programs Handbook for further details. You may download an electronic copy by clicking on it.
