In order to prevent the spread of Tuberculosis (also known as TB) and to keep students safe, all Woosong University dormitories have implemented a policy of requiring a chest x-ray for TB to be submitted upon check-in/arrival. More information about TB can be found here.
- For enrolled students already in Korea, they will need to provide this chest x-ray upon arrival or they will not be able to check-in to the dormitory.
- For freshmen/transfer/exchange/study abroad/visiting students arriving from overseas, if students already have a recent (within six months) chest x-ray, they should provide this on arrival. If a student does not have a chest x-ray yet, they will be allowed to check in and then proceed to the Daejeon Dong-gu Community Health Center, where the test can be conducted. The address can be found here. The cost will be approximately 6,000 to 7,000 KRW and will need to be paid for by students. The International Student Support Team (W3 103) can provide more detailed information on how to get there, or can even accompany students to the venue.
This update was only made recently, hence why it was not included in the Student Information Guide, however we hope the change will help to keep everyone safe on campus. We apologise for the late notice.
