Woosong University are pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for outstanding international students studying at universities in Daejeon for the Spring 2023 Semester.

The Daejeon Talent Development and Growth Foundation (대전인재육성장학재단 or DHRDF) is providing a tuition fee scholarship of up to 800,000 KRW to encourage students who display excellent academic performance and have a thirst for knowledge. See below for more details.

Selection Overview​:

- ​Target: international students of Daejeon-based universities
​- ​Number of Selectees: 5 to 7 students from Woosong University
​- ​Scholarship Amount: Up to 800,000 KRW per student

Application Process:

Application Deadline is 2023.04.25 (Tue) 11:00 KST, visit the International Student Support Team and submit documents in person​.​ The result will be announced on the Daejeon Talent Development and Growth Foundation homepage and will be sent to universities.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant must be an enrolled regular undergraduate student in a university located in Daejeon. The following three criteria will be used: ​Outstanding academic performance in the previous semester (50%), TOPIK score (30%), Recommendation letter from department chair (20%).

Please note that only TOPIK scores within the valid period as of the announcement date (2023.04.11) will be accepted. In case of ties between applicants, students with higher academic performance, TOPIK scores, and higher grade level (in that order) will be selected.

Students taking fewer than 9 credits in Spring 2023 Semester, those already in receipt of a full scholarship for Spring 2023 Semester, and overseas Koreans are not eligible to receive the scholarship.
