We are pleased to be able to share information about the February 2023 Graduation Ceremony, the first face-to-face ceremony since 2020. For those graduating, it will soon be time to collect your Graduation Degree. We also have a reminder from the Visa Office, so please read on.

Graduation Ceremony & Gown Rental

Each college will have a separate graduation ceremony, at which college deans, department chairs and professors will be present. Contact your academic department directly for more information if you have not already received an SMS or email. 

1. College of Health & Welfare: Library & Information Center (W1) Woosong Arts Center (W18), Underground Auditorium, 2023.02.17 (Fri) 11:00 

2. College of Software (SW) Convergence: Woosong Hall (W7), 4th Floor Auditorium, 2023.02.17 (Fri) 11:00 

3. Endicott College of International Studies: Social Welfare Hall (W10), 1st Floor Auditorium, 2023.02.17 (Fri) 11:00 

4. College of Railroad Logistics, Woosong Tower (W13), 6th Floor Auditorium, 2023.02.17 (Fri) 11:00 

5. College of Hotel, Food & Culinary Arts: Woosong Tower (W13), 4th Floor Auditorium, 2023.02.17 (Fri) 11:00 

Graduating students may rent a gown for the ceremony and for commemorative photo taking. Collection will be on 2023.02.17 (Fri) from 09:30 to 10:30 KST, likely outside the venue directly (tbc). Gown return is on 2023.02.17 (Fri) 12:00-14:00 KST at W19 218. Gown rental is free, however graduating students must present a valid ID, such as a Woosong University Student Card. 

Please arrive at 10:30 to ensure a smooth ceremony. We also advise you to use public transport. The dress code is formal. Whilst attending ceremonies and taking photos, please continue to follow prevailing COVID-19 regulations. Please do not attend if you are under quarantine with COVID-19.

Graduation Degree Collection & Mailing

Graduation Degree collection, including any awards, certificates, for example for high GPA, and academic transcripts, will be from 2023.02.17 (Fri) 11:00-17:00 KST at Woosong Hall (W7). Graduation Degrees cannot be reissued, so keep it carefully.

If you cannot collect in person, Graduation Degrees can be mailed to you. Please provide your details here.

Note: If a friend/relative is collecting your Graduation Degree on your behalf, ensure your friend/relative has evidence of your consent to them collecting it for you.

Note: If you cannot complete the above Google Form in the country where you are located, please email your TA.

Note: Graduation Degrees will only be mailed after 2023.02.24 (Fri) at the earliest, so you should give a mailing address where you are able to receive the Graduation Degree after this date. We can only mail Graduation Degrees if the name, address (including postcode/zip code), telephone number and email address are completed fully and accurately. If you do not complete this form by 2023.02.22 (Wed) 12:00 KST, we will assume you are collecting your Graduation Degree in-person and do not want it mailed to you.

Visa Expiry & Extension

The Visa Office would like to remind students that upon Graduation, visas will soon expire. (1) If you are continuing your study at Woosong University, please visit the Visa Office before the beginning of the new semester to renew your visa. (2) If you are planning to move to another visa, for example D10 (Job Seeker), or moving to study at another university, you must visit Immigration to renew your visa. (3) If you are not staying in Korea, check the expiry date printed on the ARC and ensure you have left the country by that date.
