Sports Day 2024 Recap 첨부파일

After months of planning, the student council organized Sports Day for all departments to gather and celebrate the Woosong Spirit on May 9 and 10, 2024. Students took a break from their studies to showcase their athletic skills in various sports, including basketball, football, relay races, infinity rope jumping, tug of war, and Running 777 (mini-games).



The first day kicked off with a department parade, followed by an appreciation flower ceremony for professors, ceremonial fireworks, and balloons to signal the start of the games. There were also dance performances by the SolBridge Ace Dance Team and Woosong College Dance Club to add more to the lively atmosphere. Following the fireworks the president kicked a football to begin the Woosong President’s Cup and officially marked the start of Sports Day. The Sports Science Rehabilitation Department won the football game, taking home the cup. Students then played the preliminaries of each game. The second day was similar, featuring only the games, with the semi-finals and finals of each round. Day 2 also included the traditional water gun fight, which was a refreshing way for students to cool off and celebrate their efforts. 




Reflecting on the Sports Days, 강상청, part of the organizational team from the 4 Seasons Student Council said, "First of all, there were many challenges encountered while preparing for the event. We put in a lot of effort to make Sports Day 2024 special to mark the 70th anniversary of Woosong University. So we tried to incorporate new games such as Running 777 and invited the international student dance club AIEP to celebrate with us. Though there were many challenges, I feel proud and fulfilled when I see students enjoying the event. Despite some shortcomings, I would like to express my gratitude to all the students who participated and enjoyed it."



A big thank you to all the students who participated, supported, and cheered, as well as the professors, staff, and student council members who came together to celebrate the Woosong community.
