Last month, Woosong University students participated in the 5th annual Sports Day and Talent Show for international students (2022), organized by the Daejeon Support Center for Foreign Residents and the city of Daejeon. This event hosted 10 Daejeon-based universities and brought together over 1,000 international students from countries around the world. 

This event was first held in 2016 and aims to develop cooperation and foster relationships among international students in the Daejeon area. There were talent shows and KPop performances by students, along with seven different sporting competitions; tug-of-war, group jump rope, centipede relay, basket toss, 6-person relay, hula hoop, and hackysack (Jegichagi). 

 

 

Choi Yong-No, acting director of the Daejeon City Social Services Center, expressed how Daejeon city is continuously striving to create a place where international students can develop academically, while also providing students with the capabilities to adapt to a new environment.

We look forward to competing again next year.
