This Fall 2022 semester, Woosong University is honored to be chosen as a host institution for 14 Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards Vocational Edition (IISMAVO) program awardees.
IISMAVO program is the Government of the Republic of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian undergraduate students for mobility program at universities overseas undertaking courses taught by professors who are experienced in the industries. On top of given the freedom to undertake various subjects outside their fields of study regardless of their study backgrounds, the awardees get to take courses at Woosong’s programs, experience South Korea’s culture, and undertake practical assignments to enhance their skills.
For this scholarship scheme, Government of Indonesia identified 46 host universities in the following countries: South Korea, the UK, the USA, Ireland, Hungary, France, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Germany, and Turkey to send students coming from diverse backgrounds in Indonesia. Woosong meets the host university criteria set by the government Indonesia thanks to Woosong curricula’s focus on analytical thinking, leadership capabilities, and networking opportunities in parallel with Woosong’s activities that provide the students with opportunities to learn in collaboration with industry and allow them to gain work experience and industry insights. Among the universities chosen in South Korea, Woosong received the highest number of students awarded this scholarship.
They had to go through a highly selective processes to be awarded this scholarship scheme, which covers full semester tuition fee, living expenses, and travels to and from South Korea. That said, Woosong is happy to welcome Matthew Alfredo and Dwi Putriani, who are taking courses at AI and Big Data’s program as well as Salsabila Ista, Sheren Andreas, Naura Nur Shadrina Kusnandar who are enjoying their studies at the Culinary Arts programs. Additionally, Woosong’s Hotel Management program is hosting Lidya Cornelia and Monika Kristiana Agista Putri while Anastasia Indah Nevdinda is a student of Media and Communication Arts. Gisell Tommy, Sharleen Samara, Virli Amelia Ika, Karin Regita Swastika, Aqni Septiana Sutanto have chosen SolBridge’s BBA program.
